I've been working in the garden all day.....lots of physical bending and lifting.....and I kept getting a wolf whistle....

Why, shucks....I thought hopefully and demurely at the same time.... which of the neighbours is it?

Sitting now with my wine I discover it's a sodding starling....when did starlings start wolf whistling........:-(

Aww Gness, not a white van man then. There was a starling where I used to live that exactly mimicked me calling my cat in, even the neighbours recognised it!

They can and do. They are also great mimics and come up with other sounds like for example a car alarm.
