does anyone know the law on the erection of a temporary banner on the side of a business unit warning potential house buyers nearby that the units could be noisy?
it may be different depending on your local council but here you have to get permission from the local planning office before putting up any kind of banner or signage, temporary or otherwise
there has been a case here last year of a proprieter of a brand new house taking a local businessman to court to reduce the hours of work at his unit, which has been their for over 20 years!!
If it is a static sign then it will require council permission, if it a moveable sign ie. placed on a vehicle or even a push bike then no permission is required.
