Wrong Entered Time As 14.45 Need To Change To 14:45 In Excel

Hi HELP!!

someone has completed an excel spreadsheet with time but have used a full stop instead of a colon between the hr + Min.

I need to load the data in to another piece of software that only recognises time with a colon.

How can I convert with out retyping it all.

Hi, from memory if you press the Ctrl + h keys a dialog box will open. In the top text box enter you . and in the second text box enter :

Once you've done this click the Next button and everytime a . is highlighted that you want to change click Replace.

control H to replace.
Set to replace all ?

Of course you need to be sure there are not colons elsewhere you do not want changing. Or if only a few, change them back afterwards.
