Another Warm Day

Another warm overcast day, but when oh when are we going to get some much needed rain?My lawn is like concrete..Its beyond a joke now.

Don't know where you're living, Georgiesmum, but it's been raining here (Hants\Berks border) for the last four days, on and off.

We haven't had much rain here either. Did have a shower the other night but I need rain for my newly planted veggies.

Move down to the west country...we've had our share in the past week.

Im on the south east coast treetops. We seem to miss the rain every time.Id love to see it coming down stair rods.Fat chance!

We've been lucky, had some nice warm days and it has rained overnight quite heavily, the lawn in my back garden is very wet. The grass has grown along with some dandelions that have appeared, and the flower beds are coming up.

You are begging for rain, after the winter we've had?

Weve had a very mild winter. They said it was the mildest temperatures since 196 1 in this area, so no complaints here. Weve save a lot of money on heating this winter, lots of sunny days, but now after weeks of sunshine we need rain badly for the garden and the wildlife. The most we have had in the last couple of months is a bit of drizzle on the window, no "proper" rain to do the garden good.We actually thought we would get some on sunday, we were due to do a boot sale because rain was forecast. All we got was it was overcast in the morning and bright warm sunshine in the afternoon.. We are still waiting!

Well jno, its forecast to be 18 degrees here again today, and 18 degrees is also forecast for Bank Holiday Monday and the day after, all days forecast with no rain again.

you can have some of the stuff we get. rained constant and every day over half term. the pond was overflowing again.
