Almost finished, but having trouble with the clue beginning "Indo-European". I thought I had the answer (defined by the last three words of the clue) but the final two letters don't fit with the down entries. Hints would be appreciated!

Never, the full clue is: Indo-European sent wild rhino to Turkmenistan (6).

It's just an anagram - and 'rhino' has its non-animal meaning. Hope that helps.

The answer to 'Indo-European ...' is not in Chambers' (not my edition anyway). It took a bit of Googling to get confirmation of the required spelling.

I'm still stuck with the final bit!
I'm pretty sure that I lower "W" to the last but one line, but that leaves me with a a blank 4 letter space on the right of that row. Also do I have to replace "W" with something? Think I'm getting the wrong end of the stick with this!

Ripper, the 'w' gets added on to the four letter answer for 'Fellow with anger' (or something like that, I've not got the paper). Did you move the other thing, from the top row?

Thank you neveracrossword, I'd moved "W" to there already. But I'm still stuck with a 4 space blank to the right of it. Do I have to replace "W" from the second row with something? Also I feel I should do something with "B" from top row......................as you can tell I'm really in a pickle with this one!!!

I think I see now what you mean.When the W moves, the B has to move too - to your blank space. And as the preamble said, you'll be left with real words - both at the top and the bottom.
