Electric Oven

For the last couple of days when I turn my oven on it beeps and turns itself off! After a few tries it works.....what could be wrong and can I fix it? It is a Hotpoint built in double oven. TIA

Have you had it a while and are familiar with all its settings such as timer, start delay etc that some ovens have? Just an idea that it may be something to do with a programmed setting. Are you able to unplug it completely and then after switching back on, reset the clock to see if that clears any memory settings? Sorry might not be the help you need

I shall give that a try! I always turn off my laptop and turn it on again if it messes about :)
