Is it just me or is this a bit "40 days and 40 nights"? I hear people are "persecuting" him with flashing, wafting bacon butties, firing missiles (golf balls etc) at him. A bit too parallel with Jesus Christ if you ask me.......

He's getting paid a load of money, and is generating a lot of publicity for himself. Surely he should have realised that he was going to get a lot a stick? As for the JC parallels, he's doing it for money and fame, not for spiritual cleansing. I don't think that when he gets down he'll be a changed man, capable of feeding thousands with a few loaves and fishes and performing other miracles. Neither is he likely to take the worlds sins upon himself and sacrifice himself for the greater good of humanity. (I'm an agnostic leaning towards atheism, by the way). Of course, if you're right Darth, I've just damned myself for eternity :-(.

during a dull moment on the m1 the other day i had a great idea for david blaines next endurance stunt ,44 days is far too long so im condensing it into 4 hours perhaps shown live on ch4 saturday night between 6 pm and midnight ,heres how it works: 6.15pm blaine has ten minutes to down 4 pints of water (or lager) he then cannot urinate until midnight ,i think the last two hours of the evening would be extremely entertaining and im sure it would get many viewers and be a true test of mr blaines mind over matter powers. as an added twist they could also add electric probes in his pants (jockey y fronts of course)that would give him a bit of a jolt if theres any leakage. its a winner, ;-)

Mindbullets....that is very similar to a game show in Japan. The contestants have to drink litres of beer and then sit on sheets of ice in swim suits ...the last one to urinate wins the cash prize...very popular with poor university students.
