What Kind Of Cable?

The charger for my nexus7 tablet is in 2 parts...the plug,and the cable that runs from plug to tablet. I need a new cable as the connection to the tablet is bent,making getting a good charge difficult. I'm constantly needing to wiggle the cable about.
I want to know what sort of cable I need...and what do they usually cost?
Also...can any other mains charger be used to charge my tablet? I ask because I use my Samsung charger on my kindle paper white.
