Looks like the Ghastly (not my words) UKIP are taking the votes from labour. Just as I said they would and was pretty much ridiculed for it.
Have the Guardian asjed the wrong outfit? Probably not, the guardian although left wing is trendy left wing. Ed has been showing is red socialist colours of late and I dont suppose they bode well with the champagne socialist set.

ichkeria, the Tories only changed one point so nothing there really. Labour have lost to UKIP, not the tories
I would say good news for Farage but not for any of the other three.
Perhaps we are at the dawn of a new awakening in Politics thanks to Farage. I doubt UKIP will ever make great inroads to Westminster but they may well take the other parties by the scruff of the neck and give them a good shake.

Actually the surprise number there is he LibDem vote. They have been averaging 7 or 8% in most of the recent polls, so they have jumped 5 or 6 % to 13%.
i haven't detected anything the LibDems have to to change publuc opinion so much in their favour.
Labour are now on the back foot, with Lab and The conservatives and Labour level.

youngmafbog I couldn't say too much about the actual poll or its accuracy, but I was just making the point back to TTT that the Guardian has been publishing ICM polls for years which consistently show the Tories doing better than other polls, and they're plainly happy with that. Which is good, because all these polls taken in the round probably give a reasonably accurate picture
The great thing about this is that with UKIP in the ascendancy, the next General Election will actually be really interesting.
Hopefully, we will also see a larger turnout than we've seen in the past few years.
No matter what you think about UKIP, I genuinely think that their existance is good for democracy.
Over the past few years, the major parties have fought a war for the 'middle ground'. Now, with UKIP entering the fray, things are going to get really...interesting.
