Just had yet another call saying that my computer has a bad virus & they are calling to fix the problem. They told me to press the 'windows key & the letter R at the same time which i didn't do. They then asked me what came up on my screen and I replied, 'Scotland Yard Police warning of scammers ringing up and saying that there is a bad virus on my computer, he hung up!!!

The difficulty with being ex-directory is that these "robodialers" ignore everything and just dial you anyway !

suggestions please. I've just received a nuisance call with an Asian voice. I had programmed the phone to block foreign calls and callers that do not identify themselves. I left the caller to carry on talking and apart from the noise in the background I heard someone say something about . . . . . virus . . . . Microsoft faults, tell them that.

I still have the call on the recorded messages, I checked 1471 and no number was left. I guess this is a call centre in uk manned by Asian workers. who do I report it to, etc.

Just after getting a call from a lady asking about my broken computer .I told her I did not have a broken computer ,S he rather abruptly ended the the call.What did I do wrong ?
