Coke + Mentos = Fail

These two fun-loving gentleman are a few years late on the Mentos and Diet Coke craze – but the results of their attempts are still priceless.

For the uninitiated, when Mentos mints are dropped into a two-litre bottle of Diet Cola, a fierce chemical reaction is produced, shooting coke out with powerful force.

Some comic/inadvisable versions of the experiment have even used someone’s mouth as the test tube – making them projectile vomit Coke everywhere.

It would be sensible to say don’t try this at home but, as YouTube proves, you probably won’t listen.

My ten-year-old had a project to make an erupting volcano for school with this method. They took them into the playground to set them off. I've no idea how much mess 30 of them would make!

I tried that a few years ago, but put a whole packet into a bottle of regular Coke...similar results though ...lost a contact lens !
