Well I watched it, and it was appalling, The plot was thin, the acting was bad - by him particularly - and the editing drove me crazy - no shot being longer than 3 or 4 seconds. He staggered around in a dirty V-neck vest which he also slept in, he probably smelt as bad as the script. He didn't even solve anything!
I enjoyed it .It was true to the book .You can see Wallander spiralling down into Alzheimers disease as did his father,hence his dishevelled appearance,forgetfulness and violent outbursts .
I think this episode should have been shown last in the new series though .
The others are all written for television round plots by Henning Mankell .
Sadly there will be no more Wallanders as he is ill with cancer .
