Mm Links Results May 2014 Week 3

This week's MM Links game has closed.

I can now reveal that 'King Cliffyg' was looking for the following links:-

Three of the links were quickly guessed within the first two minutes of play.

SHOWBOAT would appear to be a favourite of Owllady - 2 points

Amongst other things, the ROSE BOWL is an outdoor athletic stadium in Pasadena, California. The stadium is the home field of the football team from UCLA and the site of the annual college football bowl game, the Rose Bowl, held on New Year's Day. That is probably wy it was chosen by Rockfordill for his 2 points.

I hope it wasn't sad memories of her College Hop that made Tearinghair opt for WALL FLOWER. At least now it has earned her 2 points.

The final link lasted until half past 11 when Cupid04 swore by the curative powers of ROYAL JELLY for his 2 points.

A few singles were picked up from time to time but there was eventually (mid-afternoon) a double-hitter. She therefore becomes my 'Hotshot' for this week.

Thanks everyone for your comments on the past, present and future of this game. There have been many on these threads and others by private email. I will wait to see what happens this month before deciding on the setter for June prior to me bowing out at the end of that month.

Thanks King Cliffyg and Gen2. I have no memories of my College Hops - over 50 years ago - but have been spending time in the garden which is where my guess came from!
