See he may be facing a ban for his crass actions in the Aviva Premiership Semi-Final on Saturday.Serves him right if he now misses both these finals as a result.
Ashton is and long has been a boorish oaf. The sad thing is that he is such a great rugby-player. It used to be said that football was a game for gentlemen played by hooligans, whilst rugby was a game for hooligans played by gentlemen. Ashton is a sad example of how wrong that can sometimes be.
My dream is that - just once - he drops the ball whilst dramatically diving over the line to score as an act of showmanship. Meantime, I just hope he does miss the final.
It'll be a sad loss of his skills if he doesn't play, but he so often seem to lose control of himself on the field. He doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes.
