I remember using "half caste" quite innocently about 15 years ago, not knowing that it wasn't the most helpful phrase to use...I never use it now.

No idea Mikey sorry, I don't know what Giggs looks like but 'Half-caste' was changed to 'mixed race', then that was changed 'mixed parentage' then that was changed to 'mixed cultural heritage'. !!!!

Goodness orderlimit ! Its a minefield isn't it. But people near where I live in South Wales still refer to the shop on the corner as the "P*kis" ( hope that gets through the censor !) so lots of people still have much to learn. I guess we never stop learning.
