I wondered what childhood crazes others could remember.

Does anyone else remember "winkie" dolls?

Another craze i remember was the boys wearing davy crockett hats!

Building a den and sitting in it eating blackberries!

Going out in the fields with a jam jar and finding a caterpillar or a grasshopper or something similar and bringing it home for close inspection before letting it go!

I can't read through all this from the beginning - but has anyone remembered Clackers, those awful ball things, that used to give you a wicked crack on the wrist from time to time?

I loved the last one, getting the jam jar and catching something before letting it go, we used to put some meadow plants in it to attract them

georgiesmum, you liked most of the things i liked, did yu have the cut out of magazine paper dolls to dress up, I loved them

So many memories of things I did as a child....my favourites were bead collecting...I still do that....and stripping a length of privet...making a loop with it and catching spider's webs til it got thicker and thicker.
I think I may just do that again in the morning....☺

We called it five stones or Jacks....throwing them up, catching them on the back of the hand while picking up more....
