you can use most cake recipes if you use more eggs. I usually separate them and fold in the beaten eggs white at the last minute. seems to work for me. 6 large eggs to every 250 gms of flour. use an egg to mix the pastry not milk or water. use oil to mix as butter or marge is to heavy and try rolling out the pastry between two layers of clingfilm. makes it easier to line pastry case. work quickly with it or it may become inedible cardboard.
