Fiesta water pump
Does anyone know approx how much a garage should charge to replace water pump on a Fiesta 1.3. It's X reg with the old design Endura overhead valve (pushrod) engine. Just bought one for daughter as mileage was quite low for year and goes and sounds ok (no rattling tappets !!). Got it cheap as it was obvious it's leaking coolant a bit - might be just a spilt hose but worst case scenario may be water pump. (it's in the right area for that)
Thanks for any advice

You remove top mount, after draining down the top end, lift engine a bit. Pulley and flange are mostly 10mm bolts. Pulley off without disturbing alternator belt. Nothing tricky at all. Standard paper gasket.
About 1hour at whatever they charge/hr. incl fill and bleed cooling system (cos it's so easy)

Fords dont sell many hoses but Fiestas were quite common, from what i can remember it was the top hose and it was actually caused by the engine mountings collapsing and the hose rubbing. Worth checking before going down the pump route, as Albags says fairly easy job unless a bolt shears of in the block!! and they do.
