I heard this on the news, but if they've already hacked it and got everyone's details then I can't see what use changing your password will do.

eBay say...The break-in was not caused through the "Heartbleed" flaw in internet servers that received publicity this year. Instead, the hackers "compromised a small number of employee log-in credentials, allowing unauthorised access to eBay's corporate network", the company said.
