I see BBC have had quite a few complaints about the violence in this programme. I hope it isn't going to affect the programme, ie editing out some bits. The violence is part of it. Wouldn't be the same even though it's harrowing.
I love it, can't wait until next week even though I watch from behind a cushion.

Oops, thought I'd put this in tv!!
I cannot believe what some complain about - it was advertised as a raw and gritty drama and far and away one of the best things on recently.

I am sure some watch in order to gripe afterwards, either that or they live in a cocooned world.

I agree Mamya. It will be such a shame if changes are made to it.
A cracking programme. I want to see what happens next. The violence is part of it and would not be the same if it was 'tamed down' The complainants would probably complain about anything not all sweetness and light.
The armchair gestapo have always got to spoil it for everybody else.
Can we have a few more laughs?
It's not a sketch comedy...
if I found anything on tv ' too violent '' id not watch it...simple !
Now I never watch violent films or anything remotely scarey but I am loving this series and can't wait till Tuesday. Some people only watch telly so they can find something to complain about. There is violence of course and I do have a cushion handy to hide behind but I don't think it would be as gripping a programme without it.
yeah its like the ssex in Klute -
take that out and there isnt much of a film.

or the violence in Chain Saw Massacre ....

I can see the phrase - necessary for artistic purposes - crawl from behind the sofa.
As an ex-copper in Happy Valley county I can vouch for its authenticity and would not like to see any dumbing down.
Totally agree with Mamyalynne.
