Relocating To Worcester

Hi, We are looking to move to the Worcester area soon and wanted advice on what areas we would be best looking at. I will be working in Dudley and working 9-5 so will include rush hour commuting up and down the M5.
My GF will be working in Hereford but doing shift patterns with very few 9 start or 5 finishes so shouldnt be too affected by the rush hour.
Any advice is welcome please - we have looked at so many houses online in a number of different areas and wanted some advice before we tried to narrow down areas.
Are there any areas to avoid? What areas got hit the most with the recent floods?

I would seriously suggest you avoid the M5. notwithstanding the 9 miles of long-term roadworks, it's quite frankly appalling at the times you'd be looking to use it.
