However, they have probably spoofed your email address onto a mass sending, so expect more undelivered emails. They have copied your email from elsewhere.
I know it's a pain but when this happened to me a couple of times I decided to open a new email account and I notified only my trusted contacts of the new address.
Unless people in your contacts list have been receiving spam from your address, your email account has almost NOT been hacked. It's far more likely that, as SlackAlice suggests, your email address has simply been 'borrowed' by spammers.
