It seems that some people are using this post as an excuse for another anti-Muslim rant. Jews and their places of worship have been under attack for centuries. Its wasn't so long ago that a mainly Christian country was guilty of the worst atrocities to Jews ever seen, but I don't remember everybody having ago at Christians because of the actions of the Third Reich.

Mikey, you, like many others, don’t seem to understand that Islamists are not patriots loyal to any particular country. They cannot be compared to the Germans of the 1930s/40s. Their allegiance is to Islam – and to Islam alone.

YMB...its not widely appreciated that Nazism and Christianity were inextricably linked. " Positive Christianity" was the preferred version. Hitler stated repeatedly Nazism was an ideology founded on Christianity.

A perfect example of what YMG was trying to get across, may not actually be a direct Islamic extremist apology, but the usual post when one dares to criticise Islam, divert the question away from anything Islam/Muslims by introducing anti Christian rants.

Mikey, you’re absolutely right. Nazism was linked to a brand of Christianity – but that’s no reason to stick your fingers in your ears when someone tells you the truth about fundamentalist Islam. There is no comparison between the two. It's a ridiculous analogy.

we should not be supporting any one in Syria, other than humanitarian aid, if we are supplying arms to the rebels, and who are they exactly, won't that simply be arming people like this man. and there are apologists for Islam on this site, as there are in media, whether that means extremists or other, some say they can understand why these zealots go out and kill westerners, as we have meddled, interfered in their countries for years, all the while not seeing how ironic that really is.
