It is of course good that some talented youngsters have a outlet o voice their opinions and aspirations, but should these kind of thoughts be encouraged from a 11 year old?

As any parent on here will testify, all children of this age have opinions. Based on scant knowledge of the world, and even less experience of it, they still like to hold forth what they think - and amen to that. But does that make interesting or entertaining TV? So I just finished watching Dinner at 11.

It's really boring. This thread was far more interesting than the actual programme.
No, AOG, he wouldn't have been less troubled.
perhaps it beats listening to youngsters finish every sentence with innit, or dunno, i didn't watch it, not going to catch up either.
To suppress a young teen is to suffocate them and make them rebel even more, by all means explain why their ideas may be skewed but do not belittle them.

They learn as they grow.
