I just answered a question on a different site about phobias and their names. I have a phobia of stitches (as in stitches done by a doctor) but I have googled for ages and cant find a word for it. Does anyone know what it is?
Thanks :)

or Acarophobia - Fear of itching or of the insects that cause itching. (stiches don't half itch...)
or Aichmophobia- Fear of needles or pointed objects.
or Amychophobia- Fear of scratches or being scratched.
or Iatrophobia- Fear of going to the doctor or of doctors.
or Atelophobia- Fear of imperfection.....(tee hee)
Have a look at some of the names here: http://www.nlpnow.net/phobia-ac.html Couldn't see one just for you aka pixi pet, but I'm sure you're not alone.
Channel 4 I think has a programme coming up on a lady thats scared of.....peas.........!
acuphobia - fear of needles, though that is more a fear of injections.
'rhaptein' is the Greek word for to sew up (as in 'rhapsody', a lot of different 'odes' or tunes sewn together), so perhaps there should be a word 'rhaptophobia' - actually there is but that is a 'fear of being robbed', apparently.
