I am not sure what I find most puzzling about this...whether its the thought that a rickety old dock could stand the weight of at least 20 people, or that Americans see the need for so many "groomsmen" ...11 plus the groom himself, if my calculations are correct. What on earth do they all do ?

I have been to a wedding in Texas with 600 guests, you need 11 ushers and usherettes......

Hilarious it was too as there were no guidelines to dress, the wedding party in evening wear, most of us in suits but a fair number putting their clean jeans and checked shirt for the week on, the only concession to looxury being the silver clipped boot lace around the neck.
