Can anyone help. I am trying to track down a short sci fi story that might have been written by Bradbury, Moorcock or possibly Asimov. It involved a man who discovers that the behaviour of inanimate objects to totally screw up our lives is not accidental but part of a sinister plot i.e. shelves that fall down by themselves, wires that get entangled mysteriously etc. I read it years ago and am now starting to be convinced that it wasn't fiction but reality - either that or I'm getting clumsy in my old age but I'm sure hoovers are there just to trip over and plugs lying face up for me to tread on. Any help would be most appreciated

I does sounds vaguely familiar to me; but there again maybe that's because every waking moment of every day confirms it for me.
