Kindle Hdx Tablet Query

I'm thinking of getting this tablet but I've read there are limitations as to which Google apps work on it. The only one which I'm particularly bothered about is Google Earth. I'm not sure if Earth is classed as an app. Any way if it's available for the Kindle HDX then I'll probably buy it. Any help welcome thanks.

Putting "kindle hdx" "google earth" into Google brings up plenty of posts from people who're using Google Earth on Kindle Fire HD series devices, so there seems to be no problem. It seems to be only apps that need to access users' Google account information that aren't available (or won't work with) such devices.
