Tipex / correction fluid

Does anyone know  a way of removing tipex / correction fluid, that has been spilt on a pair of corduroy trousers

By far the best way I know is by disolving it with methylene chloride. This liquid is absolute magic for countless similar tasks so long as you are careful not to use it on plasics such as PVC (which you can however weld using this because it dissolves the PVC). The bad news is that it is probably very difficult to get hold of and in fact my can of the past 18 years is now empty and I would like to get more but have not found it yet. You could try paint stripper (Nitromors or Wickes own) which is similarly endowed - I think it may have meth/chlor in it. Watch out for some discolouration which is likely to disappear after a couple of washes.

You could try getting a bottle of the stuff that you use to revive old dried up tippex, can't remember what it is called but a stationers who sells tippex should know what I mean

Scrape off as much of the white deposits as possible, as soon as possible.  Clean off the remainder with a little white spirit.

Use a product called "sticky stuff remover".  Put into a search engine to get suppliers.

Tippex dilution 'stuff' was called thinners.  Not sure if it or Tippex are still around.  Maybe you could try Lavender essential oil.  It works on all sticky residue from labels, etc.  Works on glass without leaving any unwanted marks.  Smells lovely too, of course!  As with any solution, try it first on an unseen part like the inside of the hem.  Good luck.

Forget all that specialist stuff! Everyone I know has a can of WD40 in their home! Spray it on, give it a few seconds and then wipe the Tipp-Ex off with a paper towel. Job done!
