Ford A Type 1929 (So It Said On The Top Of The Boot)
Not so much a question but a remark. I was following this old vehicle yesterday on a fairly quiet road, 4 blokes in it, top down, my God it could still shift up a gradual incline! Would today's cars with all the hi-tech engineering last that long?

Wouldn't have fancied that climb in a car with an old four pot side valve engine, corylus. http:// en. wikipedia. org/ wiki/ Ford_ Model_ A_( 1927% E2% 80% 9331)

I was following it towards Holmfirth and Holme Moss, wondered if they were going to make the ascent up Holme Moss to prove that the car could still do the climb that the Tour de France cyclists will be doing next month when they come to Yorkshire, but it turned off the route!
I can remember as a kid our car packing in as we tried to get up this climb, steam pouring from the radiator and having to wait until it cooled and then coast/limp to the nearest garage in the village.
