Good Morning Early Birds!

Thursday. Ole' Sol is on holiday, so his cousin Helios is standing in for a while. He's about to enter a cloudless sky. I can cope with that! :o} Not even a hint of breeze. It's going to be a warm one, so it is.
A busy day today. Lots of domesticity that I've been avoiding in the hopes it will go away. Never does though, does it. :o{
Lots of the usual suspects out and about getting on with their lives. The two foxes are in their usual grandstand seats waiting for Helios to show. It is so lovely to see them sitting touching each other. Half a dozen badgers out playing, having done their nightly tasks and getting ready to settle down for the day. Several wee bats winging their way to roost. The dawn chorus in fine voice this morning.
Tiggy and his girlfriend were in last night, once again tiggy was feeding her. I watched them come along the bottom of the hadge. I think the young lady may have sight problems, as tiggy seemed to be leading her, he got her settled under the table and gathered lots of food for her, the led her away with her following exactly in hie pawprints. Foxy was in just before them, so he's OK.
Lots of deer grazing on the hill side. All is well with the world.

News from this neck of the woods is that Bob, G's dad, is back in hospital and this time I don't think he will be coming home. He had a bad fall last week resulting in a broken collar bone and 3 broken ribs. He's got pneumonia, an infection in his legs, and suffered a massive stroke Tuesday night. He's currently on morphine for all his pains and yesterday he had the priest with him to comfort him in what we thought was going to be his last hours. Not had contact with G since 10 last night so haven't got the very latest news.
Sun is out, the sky is blue, there is some clouds to spoil the view,....with apologies to Buddy Holly......

Morning DT - quite. He had a massive stroke shortly after his wife died from cancer 20 years ago and was badly affected down one side of his body. He used to do wood carving as a hobby and couldn't do it any longer after the stroke - his frustration at it all was oh so plain to see. Calls me lover boy as he can't remember my given name........
Forgot to say "Morning all!" I love your threads about nature Boaty, I always read them but am not usually up early enough to contribute!
I opened the bathroom window at 6.30 this morning and one of the goldfinches was singing it's little head off, what a lovely sound to greet the day ......... very cloudy here in Leicestershire though.
