Waterside Mc350 Machine

I am having problems with the above machine which is now 8 years old. It keeps on filling up with water and the error 1 button comes on and it continually beeps. Tried turning it off for 10 minutes and then on again as suggested in booklet, but nothing works. Called the company and they hAve given me a date in two weeks time to come and see it. The costs they are talking about for coming out sound somewhat excessive to me. Does anyone know, is it fixable, or should I be looking to get a new one.

Have you checked the filters are all clear?

Yes. Friend of mine checked them.
