I'll be travelling to Menerbes, Provence in early September and looking to build an itinerary of 4-5 days in Provence around this trip. Any suggestions about towns/accommodations in Provence?

I do not know if you going with a car or not but if yes some towns to recomend will be Avignon, Orange, and a trip to the mont Ventoux, this one is where the cycler Tom Simpson died, interesting to will be allso Sisteron and a part of the route Napoleon, From sisteron you could do chemin de la pierre Ecrite this road brings is the Alps and when you going up on the left side of the road is an engraved stone in latin who tells you if my memmory is correct the story that it trough this way that Hannibal came with his elefant to attac the romans it bring you also trough nice landscapes
