Should this surgeon now have his MBE taken from him, or even to have one awarded to him in the first place?

And why given his record, does he still work as a locum surgeon at Bedford Hospital?

///a serial fraudster who has harmed patients and was struck off the medical register in 2002 for gross professional misconduct///

Why indeed, doesn't sound the right course of action to me.
I would have thought that someone checked the submissions for awards. Personally I don't agree with the awards system.

Well, here we go again......we have seen this time and time again......medical publications and research, deeply flawed, but taken as gospel by a gullible medical fraternity.

It is scandalous and of course this surgeon should have his MBE taken away and should never have been awarded in the first place.

I was taught years ago and it applies to medical matters...."all that glitters is not gold."...........he was made a Professor of Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons.

Agree with sqad 100%, don't ever see it happening though, I mean, What about his Human Rights?

Oops, That ^^^^ was meant for the "So What Do We Do With This Young Fellow" thread, although it does fit this one as well!
