Anybody encounter above. I do all the time particularly from liquor trade, cafes and restaurants.
My friend and I went for tea last Saturday and she wanted to get a bottle of wine - she talks to the guy in the off licence - Now, I am a good connoisseur of wines - could you advise me of a nice wine today. "wha wha wha" - was the reply - the friend proceeded to say the same thing today - OMG - I then said - did you not realise he didn't want to talk to you.
Goes into restaurant - waiter - ham is lovely - OMG - a piece of rubber was presented. Asked for a jug of water - got two glasses. Friend asked for glasses for wine - they were too warm for the cold wine.
Yesterday I went to cafe to get "take away sandwiches" - there were 4 workers there - I was invisible. APATHY or what. They couldn't run a pi££ up in a brewery!!!
I think it is a very witty thread really, tongue in cheek I'm sure.
A well placed quietly spoken complaint can result in wondrous things - free meals or complimentary wine, money off vouchers and certainly better service the next time.
Loud 'shouty' complainers tend to lose before they've started.
I was asked if I wanted a glass in a pub for the bottle of beer I had got for my husband. I was handed a very warm glass. I said this glass is warm (very warm in fact). Answer: These are all we have.........
