my iphone has stopped giving me sound notifications for my emails unless i actually open up the email folder. the only thing i have done is set up an icloud account,turned on find my iphone in settings and added find my iphone app, iv'e updated this morning to ios 7.1.2 (the latest) does anyone know how to put this right please.

Check in Settings/Sounds/Mail to see whether your sound notification is turned on and a sound selected.
If that is set on correctly then you might try a restart Hold down the top iPhone button until the power off slider appears, slide to the right to power off. Give it a minute then hold the top button down again until the white apple appears then let it restart.

thanks Milvus iv'e tried all these a few days ago to no avail,i'm wondering whether to delete the icloud account, but haven't figured out how to yet.
