Voi Jeans - Real Company?
5 Answers
My partner bought a pair of jeans on www.voijeans.co.uk - only to receive an email late last night (11:30pm-ish) stating that the jeans were out of stock and that if she wanted a refund on her card to let them know ....nothing wrong here ?...
...she replied to the email stating she did want a refund and the email was returned unsuccesful
....she then tried to call their number on the website 01772 841988...... rings out constantly
....Anyone dealt with this company? - any ideas what to do?
Thanks

I placed an order on 14th december for a t-shirt and 2 pairs of jeans. The t-shirt was delivered, but the jeans were not included (no note on the invoice to say they were to follow or anything). I've been trying to contact them and the phone just keep ringing, and have had no response by email either. If they are totally dodgy i don't know why i got the t-shirt though?
It doesn't sound good though if you are having similar problems. I might call trading standards as i'm wondering if they've gone under or something. They've got over £100 of my money at the moment and i've nothing to show for it. It doesn't look good does it?

I ordered a cardigan from this company on 29/11/09 - still not received. I've tried phoning and, as you say, it just rings constantly. Also emailed them but they haven't responded. I've contacted my credit card company and they are disputing the payment - had to complete a form with all details and copy of my email. I've also contacted Consumer Direct who have advised me as below.
" From the information you provide, in failing to provide you with the goods ordered, the trader may be in breach of contract. This would depend if there was a specified timescale for delivery of the goods in the terms and conditions of the contract. If the trader has not delivered within this timescale, it could be argued that they have breached an express term of the contract. As a result, you would be entitled to a refund of monies paid for the item, including postal charges.
Furthermore, when goods are ordered online or over the telephone, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 will also apply. This law states that when goods are not delivered after 30 days, the contract can be treated as automatically cancelled and the trader must then provide a refund in the next 30 days.
I would advise you to write a formal letter to the trader, you should send the letter by recorded delivery and keeping a copy of the letter that you write. You should state the legal argument made above and request that they provide the item, or a full refund of monies paid within a reasonable period of time (i.e. 7 working days). "
As it's been impossible to contact voijeans, Consumer Direct suggested that I check out the company first with Companies House Tel: 0303 1234500 - I'm going to do this tomorrow. I'm still getting newsletters from voijeans so presumably they are still taking orders.
Good luck.

Hi,
I am very sorry for all the problems you have experienced using our website (www.voijeans.co.uk) we have only been trading from our site since October and the response we have had from online orders has been huge and we basically haven't had the staff to cope with the demand. However we are now getting on top of things so you will not experience any more problems when ordering online. We are also answering as many calls as we can and have just taken on two extra members of staff to help out. If you want to contact me directly about any problems then please email me on [email protected] and I will personally sort out your problems.
Thanks

In response to Phil at Voi jeans, and anyone else who has had problems. I made contact with the company there sales help line. Where i was told my pair of jeans that never turned up was out of stock, i was then told i could have a refund or order another pair, giving them the benifit of the doubt i ordered another pair. Which arrived today! It is fast however there wasnt a card push threw the door to say the parcel was left else where. I had to find out from the neighbour. overall i am pleased its been sorted now, and i hope everyone else gets there orders sorted, I will be using the company again they are faultless on the telephones they actually go and check the stock to see if they have it in, only way i will be ordering is over the phone.

I bought 3 items from this company, I sent 2 back to request a smaller size and they have never sent the replacement goods. They havnt refunded my money. They wont answer any of my emails and the phone just rings out constantly. Looks like I am £80 out of pocket here. Dont order from this company!!!!!!!!!! Get voi jeans stuff thro somewhere reputable like BANK or SCOTTS.
