This morning I was in a shop when I overheard part of a conversation between two women.
One said to the other "I told him to go to the doctors. Would you believe he's been using WD40? He's lucky not to be in hospital."
The mind boggles!

Well, I have learned something from you lot. We have gallons of stuff in the shed so next time one of the family has a medical problem I will be able to administer to their needs!
Perfect for a rusty screw
lol at Svejk
if it's a panacea how come i've never seen it on the doctor's desk?
// t's easier to find than castor oil!!! //

I only ever use it for the castors on the furniture ( I know, I know, just in case the spelling inspector is on the site today)
Fun game: when someone walks past you in conversation, say something in a slightly louder voice than normal that is utterly outrageous:

"Luckily it turns out that wine stain remover's good for blood too."
"I didn't expect it to burn that fast!"
"Unfortunately the rail wasn't strong enough..."

Have a sniff of it. Will give you a buzz. No seriously don't sniff it. The thieves use it here to spray in the windows of places they rob because of the ether. Enough will put you out like a light.

'Castor Oil', why would the spelling inspector be bothered?

///Castor oil is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing the seeds of the Castor plant/// Wiki.
balders you always want to press something or other, is this an obsession?

Just curious as to why the spelling inspector would be interested in the correct spelling of Castor Oil.
is it casters on furniture?

I sometimes cast potters plaster.
