Yay, and I win a whole £15. I had £2 on them at the beginning.

History made with a European side winning the World Cup on South American soil at the 8th time of asking. Which is a pity as had the Argies won i would have been £250 richer and my total profit for the tournament would have crept over the £2.5k mark! I don't gamble big but this has been my best ever few weeks with 43 winning bets throughout the tournament. I begrudgingly add my congrats to the Germans.

Horseshoes; I began with a pot of £200 - saved specifically for the purpose - and, with a little help from my friends (as the song goes) and family members, took advantage of Willy Hill's offer of evens, to a £20 max per customer, on Brazil winning their opening match. I never looked back from then on and took advantage of every offer the bookies threw at me, sticking almost rigidly to the stats to help me decide where to invest my dosh. I wish they had a World Cup every couple of months, or so:-)
