I am going on holiday to Egypt in October and firstly would like to know how much i should expect to pay for a taxi from the airport (Sharm) to my hotel I realise that I will have to barter, also where is the best place to go to organise diving for my husband (he will have already qualified by then) and how much should he expect to pay?

I'd suggest you google "diving packages sharm".
I can't recommend a specific dive school as you don't state what part of Sharm you'll be staying in. Also, you don't say how many dives your husband will want to do. If he books a package of 7 dives, this will work out cheaper per dive than booking 7 individual dives.
if your hotel has a "house reef" nearby, he'll be able to see just as much snorkelling as he would diving.
