Good Morning Early Birds!
Thursday. Some cloud about, but we are assured it will be sunny and warm.
Yesterdays chart was very good. The passengers were a party form a retirement home celebrating a 99th birthday. The 3 staff that came with them had brought a picnic with them. Sarnies, home made scones with home grown strawberries and cream, chocolates, a home made cake and champagne. My crew girl spent a lot of time coming along the catwalk with plates of sarnies, a large wedge of cake and glasses of giggle juice. We all had a wonderful time. They'd forgotten to bring a knife for the cake, so I stopped the boat alongside my crews boat and her husband, how had returned from his appointment by then, handed over a knife and off we went, problem solved. Great fun was had by all.
If I ever end up in a home it's going to be that one!
When the Boaty came in.
All is well in the badgers sett with the usual youngsters annoying the older ones who were back from their nights foraging. The two foxes had watched the dawn and were trotting off to their lair or wherever. No breeze, so the birds were either enjoying a flight or sitting relaxing. A wonderful morning.
I have another charter today, to the TA :o} But I have to go down early to meet the engineer as the engine was smoking a bit yesterday and he is going to come and have a look at it, so I will be away in an hour.
Have a happy day everyone.
