I don't like the Hula Hoops adverts either, or the one for a bank with the really annoying bank manager, is it nat west? 'we've got tracker, non stop tracking, tracksuit, cracker tracker.. blah blah boll*x'
yeah BOO i've seen that one. think its for chicken bites or something. they come in a packet like crisps. is a bit scary for kids, maybe thats why i've only seen it once.
i quite like the muller adverts where everyone is happy and dancing and there's the cutest wee baby in a pram in it.
hate all loan and insurance adverts, turn them off when they're on which defeats the purpose of advertising completely. and that toilet roll one with the baby. i bought the toilet roll in question because it was on special offer in my supermarket and wanted to try it and it turned out to be the best toilet roll i've ever tried. however, the advertising had nothing to do with my decision to buy it.
...my fave at the mo. is the new Guiness ad, with the little man in the fridge waiting for the light to come on so he can pull a pint of the black stuff...cracks me up every time...
...my least fave is the one for Oil Of Olay (I think) with the annoing "expert" who goes on about proretinols or something...aaaaarrrrggggh drives me crazy!...
Windimplode, I am with you on that one! I put my tv on mute when he comes on (all the flipping time on E4) and a couple of days ago, this was the last ad in the break, and so the tv froze on his stupid smug face for about 5 seconds. My man had to hold me back from physically attacking the tv set!
I know it's not on any more, but the horrible "guess who's butchering a chicken?" ad for fajitas or something made me so angry. If I was cooking for someone who sat on the phone to (presumably) her mother and criticised me, I would ram the phone up her backside before she could say "aromatic spices" - stupid cow.
I do like the Volvic pole-dancing ad, though.
"Quote me 'appy"
Some advertising firm who sat there and sold the idea of two buck-toothed idiots from (sounds like) wigan, getting car insurance over the phone, need to leave advertising world alone, immediately.
And that also goes for the ridiculuous "thats lucky, thats more than lucky", with that ridiculous dog.
Please, there must be a law to stop these ads getting to screen.
