What Car Do I Buy

I have �22,500 to spend on a new car. It has to have 4 doors and has to be a diesel. I've looked a several and can't make my mind up. Any suggestions??

A new car? are you rich? You can get an amazing car for that amount or a new car that's a heap of sh1t. 22k on Diesel? raving! absolutely raving!

Jeremy would probaby say get yourself a 2 year old 7 series with all the toys, definately not a diesel!

Well in that case the JD power survey is probably your best bet just Google and you should find it. That'll have the top 100 some will be diesel. Usually fleet managers have already done a deal and you just get a choice of a dozen or so.

I think Lexus is an up and coming make and they really are very good, don't know the models though (Lexii??)

Clarkson would laugh at you for wanting a diesel, but I have a feeling it would be the skoda 4x4 octavia diesel. Seem to remember a favourable review In the ST but dont quote me.

BMW is a ***kers car. Every one will quite rightly scorne you, and not let you into traffic. I'd look at the Honda Accord 2.2cdti Executive. Really nice in silver with the anthracite 5 spokes. Unasuming but full of toys, reliable, safe and quiet. Plus you look less of a nob jockey.

The honda is "Test Drives" best buy in this class. All for 20k.

I would suggest a nice spec audi A4 good on juice and TAX but still go sum 232lb/ft torque takes the piXX out of boy racers

if it was me i'd go for the mondeo 2.2 turbo diesel st in blue. you get 18 inch alloys, heated and cooled recaro leathers, automatic zenons, self dimming mirrors, really loud stereo and the list goes on. plus the blue is just a wicked colour. I only wish i could have one, fancy trading jobs ?

I just wondered why, of all the MPVs available, you chose the one that has consistently, year on year, had the lowest NCAP safety rating. As to how much money I may or may not have, I'm not sure on waht basis you made your judgement, or why you think it's important, but I will tell you this: I retired at 48.
