Van Or Car?

I've just reserved the above to collect tomorrow, does anyone know how it comes packaged? I'll have an Astra van available (but didn't really want to use it) or a family sized saloon.

Rocky, there are a few for sale on ebay for collection only - normally if the item is too large to fit in a car. people will add this to the listing, but none of them do. I'd probably call the store in the morning and ask them to have a quick measure, I'm sure they will, to see if it will fit in your car.

Thanks Peas. You'd think they would put the size wouldn't you. Will ring the store in the morning as I have a sneaky suspicion that they don't even have the pool there, hope they do though as I could do with a flop in some cold water :)

Why didn't you go for the free delivery option? The store probably won't know how big it is, you could probably ring the actual manufacturer.

Wow, that looks really great and a great price, has got me thinking. Do the seats fold down to make a big boot? Think you're right to phone first.

A flat pack box but quite large , it will fit in an estate car with the seats down, but need 2 people to lift it. I would take the van. Argos are pretty good and will help you load it in to your car.

Thanks all, the OH is coming with me in the morning and we'll take the van, I'm still ringing them first though.

Sherr, the free delivery option wasn't there when we first looked, in fact the pool was out of stock within a 25 mile radius. My daughter looked 2 minutes later and there it was, available at a branch down the road, last one in stock so I reserved it, 10 minutes later you could reserve it again so I'm not holding my breath that it is actually in the store. I'll go for the free delivery if I can't get it tomorrow.

Did you know it takes 5 - 6 hours to fill? Will be fabulous though, totally jealous.

Lol, I'm thinking it'll probably take more like 10 hours, my daughter will be bursting. To be honest, I can't wait to get in it myself.

Well I got it, the box would have safely fitted on the back seat of the car but I would never have been able to carry it, so good job I took the OH.

The hard bit of putting together will commence this afternoon, that'll be me and son, hopefully he hasn't inherited his dads reluctance to read instructions.
