Hello. I have a renault Clio 1.2 16 valve 10 plate.Ihave had this car for just over a year and it has run very well (21500 miles) until recently it developed a misfire for no apparent reason.I managed to get it to a very near local garage where they said the coilpack/plug leads had broken down and needed replacing. This they did at a reasonable price and the car is running very well.Since then I have been told by many people that this is a common fault on many cars of various makes and not just renault. I would therefore like to hear from any of you good people who have had this problem and is it as bad as it sounds.Thank you all S.O.G

We had the same thing happen to us when we had a Clio - and the electric windows packed in, sunroof rattled and then the ECU had to be replaced. No longer got the Clio, needless to say
Relation has a Megane on 07 plate, just had the same problem , changed the plug leads and its now as good as new, this is a well known problem on the Clio and Megane, not sure about other models.
My sons ex girlfriend used to have an 05 plate Megane, used to have this problem on a regular basis.
This is a well known fault with the Clio. I know someone who carries a spare coil pack in his boot!
