I have just acquired a new tablet, but it refuses all my attempts to connect to the net. It also will not recognise an sd card. Can anyone help please, before it ends up in the dustbin. Thanks in advance

First of all, have you got wifi at the place you are trying to connect it?

First of all, have you got wifi at the place you are trying to connect it?
Some more information might help here.

Can your Avoca actually 'see' your router? (i.e. is it listed as an available connection?). What happens when you try to connect to it? Do you get the opportunity to enter your router's pass key? Are you sure that you're actually entering the correct key? Have you tried connecting to the internet at a different location (e.g. using the free wi-fi in a Wetherspoon's pub or Tesco Extra?).

What size SD card are you trying to use? (Some devices won't work with cards beyond a certain maximum capacity).

Have you tried asking Avoca for help?

I have tried everything, even my 10 year old grandaughter cannot get it to connect. The card is 8gb, i have tried to e-mail Avoca support on a few occasions but they never answer.
Is it allowing you to put in the password for the router? It is case-sensitive, we discovered.

I have put in the password ok, but it still refuses, now the screen has frozen. Thanks for all your answers, i'm off to the pub!
