I recently had a conversation with someone who claimed to have read or heard a report that having only one arm was one of the worst disabilities to have.

I have searched in vain to find any such report, has anyone one heard or read such a claim?

I haven't seen such an article and considering the types of disabilities that exist I would doubt it was one of the worst.

Exactly Cazz, I am really intrigued to find the article to understand the basis of the assertion.
I am unaware of any such report and take a similar view to cazzz.

However , I did work with a chap who had lost his left arm when he was knocked down by a wagon whilst employed on the railways as a shunter.
Regularly he had aches and pains in the fingers of his arm which had been amputated.

Hans.
I would imagine being blind or deaf was worse than having an arm amputated, in fact I could reel off a whole list of things that I would consider more difficult to cope/live with.

hans.............phantom pains , not unusual following limb amputation.
I believe it may lead to worse disabilities?

I know two people with only one arm and it hasn't hindered them.
