Mikey, I dont really know the area but it is in open countryside according to the report. I hope they can keep it, I would love it myself, I bet it would be a pain to keep clean though!

It is very sad indeed. the problem being: if it was a normal house everybody would have been totally against it but it is a "Hobbit House" which is cute and twee etc. unfortunately "cute and twee" does not change the fact that they rode rough shod over the planners and built and lived in a house that they didnt get planning for.
Should the rules be changed so that we can all build hobbit houses in our gardens for our kids to live in?
Hell, I would build one immediately if I thought I could get away with it, we have researched it in the past and looked into many different house structures to build a house from, straw bales to cob, but you cant get around the planners that way, you still need to suck up to them a little! or risk losing the lot as this couple will most likely have to face up to.
