Taupe. What Colour Goes With It?

I have bought a taupe coloured, knee length dress for a wedding I am attending.
I know the colour goes with anything virtually, but what would anyone advise for a hat and shoes to go with it? Thanks.

I always think teal looks good with taupe.

That nude colour that has been all the rage in recent years goes with taupe. So does cream.

I recently saw taupe with black patent shoes and handbag - really classy - not sure re the hat - maybe a good match or dark cream.

Down to your own taste and style really - Navy to be conservative, Purple or Red to be bold.

As you say the choice is varied with a neutral main piece.

Blue or torquoise? I don't claim to be a fashion expert but if taupe is a class of fawn then those colours would compliment it.

Any pastel shade to offset the darkness of taupe.

I'd go bold..aubergine ...

I'd go for anything on the blue/green spectrum, including teal, aquamarine or turquoise. If the wedding is soon, choose a lighter shade. If its in the autumn look at the darker options or include a hint of purple or velvet
