Printer Colours All Wrong
2 Answers
I have a kodak C310 printer and its printing all the red colours as a bright yellow. I have gone into the maintenance section and cleaned the printhead about 10 times, and it hasn't helped. I have cleaned it manually where the colour cartridge touches the printer with tissue, but this helps for one print, then it goes back to printing all reds in yellow. I've changed the cartridges. I've been using kodak colour cartridges, which are the recommended ones. I've run out of ideas to solve the problem. The online help for kodak is useless. Its quite important as our logo on all our invoices for our business is red and it looks awful. Any ideas??The printer prints black fine, just this problem with all red colours

I don't know this printer but assume that it has a tri-colour cartridge?
I would suggest that you first open the door to make the cartridges available, switch the printer off and then remove the colour cartridge. Now gently clean the gold electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer with a small paint brush using methylated spirits.
Allow the meths to dry properly before replacing the cartridge and then try to print a few lines of RED print.
If this doesn't work, remove the cartridge again and put the cartridge print head in a 1/4 inch of hot water (not boiling) in a saucer and leave to cool.
When cool gently dab the print head with a paper tissue to check if the red ink is flowing again. Repeat the water treatment if required.
The printer's own print head cleaner uses lots of ink even if the colours are printing OK. Is it possible that the red ink has just run out??
Hope this helps.
